Mayjis Foundation is conscious about how information about you should be used and shared, and we appreciate you trusting that we will do so carefully and sensibly. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it to us.
Personal information, such as name, email address and mobile number. This information is used to (a) respond to your queries and (b) communicate about our programs & events
When you make a financial contribution, details about your credit / debit card information is collected by the Payment gateway service provider, to process the payment. These details are not stored by Mayjis Foundation.
In addition to the personal information that you submit to us, we may collect personal information about you from reputable third parties, or automatically collect information using the following technologies:
Web Server Logs. Our web servers may collect certain information such as IP address, pages visited, time of visits, and referring website.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with
Data collected by other external organisations linked through our website, will be governed by their privacy policy. For example: anyone providing data to the payment gateway service provider. We will not be receiving the card or bank details from the service provider. Information to us will be limited to: name, amount and the purpose for which the amount has been transferred.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How we protect your data
Every data captured is stored securely. This information is accessible only to the relevant members of our organization, as needed by the job role. No data or information is shared externally. If any data need to shared, for any legal or statutory purposes, it will be authorized by Founder & Director (Ravi Shankar Denduluri) prior to sharing.
Changes to this privacy statement
We may modify this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this website. If we make a material change to this policy, and need to apply it to personal information that you provided to us before the change was made, we will attempt to contact you and obtain your consent to the change
What data breach procedures we have in place
In any eventuality of data breach, it will be notified to the concerned authorities and the people whose data has been compromised, within 48 hours of awareness of the data breach by the Mayjis Foundation Management Team.
After which, an internal investigation will be conducted to identify root cause for the data breach, and necessary corrective actions will be identified and implemented within the best possible time frame, based on the complexity of the issue and actions to be implemented.
Status of this will be updated to the relevant authorities and those whose data has been breached
What third parties we receive data from
Payment Gateway service provider: Based on the donations or payments received, we will receive the relevant details from the Payment Gateway service provider, as required for our operational tracking and monitoring.
Google Analytics: Based on the data that the Google Analytics application captures, we will be retrieving the data related to the website traffic. This will be used for analysis to improve the reach of Mayjis Foundation to the desired target audience.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
We utilize the features available in Google Analytics platform for our analysis. In addition to this, there is no additional automated decision making and / or profiling process performed on user data.
